When U.S. preparedness leaders assembled last month for the National Hurricane Conference in Orlando, FL, the resilience of concrete was again a key topic of discussion. Included in the agenda was news from the MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub where researchers have developed a method to incorporate the risk and repair costs of damage from hurricanes and earthquakes into life-cycle analysis of residential buildings.
