Matt Wood, sustainable products and promotion manager at Ash Grove Cement, and Don A. Clem, PE, NRMCA vice president, local paving, recently presented the topic Why Concrete for Intersections and Roundabouts during the regular Board of Directors meeting of the Association of Canyon County (ID) Highway Districts. The Association is comprised of four highway districts located in western Idaho: Nampa HD No.1, Notus-Parma HD No. 2, Golden Gate HD No. 3 and Canyon HD No. 4. Commissioners from each highway district were on hand to learn why concrete is the pavement of choice for intersections and roundabouts in the Rocky Mountain West. Several districts are planning on constructing roundabouts and intersections over the next five years.

Thanks to Matt Wood and Grant Green, senior sales representative, Ash Grove Cement, for initiating contact and setting up the presentation.
