TRB to Host Webinar on Permeable Concrete Pavements

The Transportation Research Board (TRB) will conduct a Webinar on Thursday, March 9, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Eastern time on permeable concrete pavements, specifically information in Technical Brief FHWA-HIF-16-004*. Presenters will discuss two types of permeable concrete pavements and their use in structural and hydrological design. They will also address factors for successful construction and maintenance of permeable concrete pavements. Topics to be discussed will include Structural and Hydrological Design, Design Optimization, Cold Climate Design and Frost Considerations, Winter Maintenance Considerations as well as the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) perspective on permeable concrete pavements. The first 60 minutes of the Webinar will be for presentations and the final 30 minutes will be reserved for audience questions and comments.
This Webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committees on Design and Rehabilitation of Concrete Pavements, Concrete Pavement Construction and Rehabilitation, and Pavement Rehabilitation. Participants must register in advance of the Webinar, and there is a fee for non-TRB Sponsor or non-TRB Sustaining Affiliate employees. A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will be provided to attendees who register and attend the Webinar as individuals.
