NRMCA, Concrete Paving Industry Meets with Officials of Large Colorado City

The concrete paving industry, represented by Angela Folkestad, PE, executive director, and Jamie Johnson, PE pavement engineer, American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) CO/ WY Chapter and Don A. Clem, PE, NRMCA vice president, local paving, recently met with the public works leadership of the City of Aurora, the third largest city in Colorado. They discussed the future of concrete pavement in the city, and how to improve communications between the concrete industry and Aurora city officials. The meeting was facilitated by Councilman Bob Roth and included the deputy city manager, public works director, manager public works operation, deputy director public works and transportation project delivery manager. Each of them agreed to work together to improve the performance of concrete pavement in the city.
ACPA and NRMCA are already assisting the city with a concrete pavement preservation project: East 32nd Avenue, in north Aurora.
