The Opening General Session at NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks 2018 on Sunday morning will focus on our Build With Strength Campaign and will feature NRMCA members sharing their stories on how they have successfully used NRMCA’s Concrete Design Center to convert parking areas from asphalt to concrete and buildings from wood to concrete (see related news item in this section).
Immediately following, Portland Cement Association Chief Economist Ed Sullivan will give his economic analysis of the future of the construction, cement and concrete industries. PCA’s Market Intelligence Group forecasts are used by construction industry executives to understand the direction America’s economy is headed, which in turn impacts their businesses.
Robert Capasso of Concrete Financial Insights will then present the results of the recently-released 2018 NRMCA Industry Data Survey – the only survey of its kind to collect information on ready mixed concrete production and the costs associated with the sales and support of concrete. Trends, U.S. averages and regional statistics will be discussed. All material complies with U.S. antitrust laws.
Wondering what to expect from the looming mid-term elections and what they could mean for our industry? Then you will want to be up with the early-birds and come to the Exhibit Hall at 7:30 a.m. on Monday for a Town Hall Meeting in the Town Square – where our industry’s finest will give you insights from the Beltway insiders’ viewpoint, spotlighting the races to watch and how the pro-business, pro-concrete industry candidates are faring.
