CP Tech Center Issues Report on Latest in Concrete Pavement Technology

The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center recently completed a 5-year project funded by the Federal Highway Administration to provide information on the latest in concrete pavement technology, knowledge, and innovation to the state highway agencies. The project supports FHWA’s program goal of Accelerated Implementation and Deployment of Pavement Technologies. The results of this effort are documented in two summary documents that facilitate sharing of various project findings and help state agencies manage concrete pavement resources more efficiently. The focus involved promoting better performance in the following areas:
• Sustainability aspects of concrete pavements and materials;
• Preservation and maintenance techniques for concrete pavements;
• Long-life concrete pavements;
• Innovative concrete materials; and
• New technologies and advancements in concrete pavement placement.
