NRMCA Discusses Concrete Overlays at Wyoming State Conference

NRMCA Vice President, Local Paving, Don Clem recently provided a presentation entitled Concrete Overlays Over Asphalt Parking Lots at the 22nd Annual Conference of the Concrete Association of Wyoming (CAW). Clem outlined how the NRMCA local pavement program works and how it can lead to increased business by seizing opportunities. Over the last few years, Wyoming producers have used NRMCA's Design Assistance Program to successfully promote both new and overlay concrete paving projects. Clem distributed over 10 Guides to Concrete Overlays of Asphalt Parking Lots to engineers and concrete producers in attendance. The overlay guide, which was funded by the Ready Mixed Concrete Research & Education Foundation, has been used by Wyoming engineers to design concrete overlays over asphalt parking lots.
