Input Sought for Upcoming House Infrastructure Legislation

Last Wednesday, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee opened a forum to solicit stakeholder input to help formulate an infrastructure bill; it then announced that it would hold a Member Day on Wednesday, May 1, to hear from Members of Congress about their priorities for the bill. NRMCA expects to participate in both of these opportunities. There are a number of open questions surrounding the politics and practicalities of an infrastructure bill, not the least of which is whether any proposed legislation can gain broad bipartisan support within the committee. The committee is likely to consider a bill in late May or early June; leadership hopes to consider it on the floor of the House before August.
