Late last week, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released guidance to alert employers about the most frequently cited standards related to COVID-19 workplace inspections. The guidance is meant to alert employers of the types of citations they could run afoul of if inspected for COVID-19 related issues. Specifically, the types of citations OSHA has pursued mainly include respiratory protection, recordkeeping and reporting, personal protective equipment (PPE) and the general duty clause. By releasing this guidance, OSHA aims to increase compliance and worker safety protections.
