Get Ready for Next Week’s CIM Auction – Something for Everyone!

The 2022 Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Program fundraising auction will be held next week, Wednesday, January 19, in Las Vegas, NV, and you can support the program while buying great items whether you are at the event or at home! Once again, there are items for everyone – many of which are ready mix specific (Mack/McNeilus mixer truck, Con-Tech high performance mixer, loads of cement from almost every manufacturer nationwide, fly ash, aggregates, plant and truck equipment and more). 

Contractors will also find many items to bid on, including a Somero S-485 Laser Screed, trowels, tool packages, equipment rentals and, for those in the concrete pumping business, for the first time we will be auctioning off an Alliance Concrete Pump (on a Kenworth chassis) as well as a parts credits from Putzmeister. For those looking for bucket-list adventures and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, the auction includes great trips, game tickets and tech products that anyone would want. Participation is a great way to support this important industry initiative while purchasing items you need for your business and for yourself.

Funds raised go directly toward the unique industry engagement available to the CIM majors at Middle Tennessee State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, California State University – Chico, Texas State University and our newest program at South Dakota State University – helping us with the goal of “Advancing the Concrete Industry by Degrees.”

Registration instructions for those in Las Vegas:
Step 1: Use your cell phone and text CIM2022 to 76278 and follow the instructions. This will give you access to the silent auction site where you will be able to place bids on the items in the silent auction beginning January 12. This is how you will continue to bid on silent auction items through the end of the event on January 19 at 12:45 p.m. Pacific time. This process will also pre-register you for the live auction.

Step 2: Beginning at 11 a.m. Pacific time when the auction begins, come to room W103 for the silent auction and pick up your bid book for the live auction, at which time you will be provided with your bidder number. You will use this bidder number to bid on the items in the live auction (the phone app is not used for bidding on live auction items). The live auction will take place beginning at 1 p.m. Pacific time across the hall in room W106.

If you will not be on-site for the auction, follow the directions below:
Step 1: Visit CIM Charity Auction for details and to register to bid in real-time through Ritchie Bros.' online portal on the items in the LIVE auction. *Note that administrative fees and bid deposits are waived for all CIM auction bidders. You are encouraged to register at least 72 hours prior to the auction to ensure your account is set up.

Step 2: On your cell phone, text CIM2022 to 76278 and follow the instructions. This will give you access to the silent auction website where you are able to place bids on the items in the silent auction. This is how you will continue to bid on silent auction items throughout the event.
