Build With Strength New Mexico, in collaboration with the Las Cruces Home Builders Association, the Insulating Concrete Forms Manufacturers Association, KT Homes, Nudura, ICF Warehouse and NRMCA hosted an Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) installation training event on August 25 in Las Cruces. The following day, Nudura hosted its own installation training showcasing the product.

The focus of these events was to educate the students of Organ Mountain High School on the benefits and opportunities of ICF construction. Between 20 to 25 people (seen here) were in attendance for both days. The training aimed to publicize the benefits of ICF construction throughout the construction industry. ICFs are quickly becoming the method of choice for all forms of construction due to attributes such as speed and safe construction, operation maintenance and energy savings, resilience, sound control and building insurance discounts. These benefits are creating ICF project demand by helping to deliver a knowledgeable contractor workforce that can augment its portfolio of construction services.

Engineers, contractors and builders were in attendance and learned alongside the high school students. Build With Strength thanks the sponsors, including Nudura, KT Homes, the Las Cruces Home Builders Association, NRMCA and ICF-MA. Build With Strength has recently partnered with ICF-MA and launched ICF contractor training. The training is driven locally by NRMCA state affiliates and targets concrete contractors, framers, masons and other trades who will learn the techniques to expand their construction services portfolio and be more competitive in today’s construction environment. As part of the Build With Strength campaign, NRMCA promotes sustainable concrete solutions for buildings.
