Former NRMCA Board Member Mobley Dies at 79

Former NRMCA Board of Directors member Bryce Mobley died September 16 at Arkansas Heart Hospital. He was 79. Mr. Mobley was born in Russellville, AR, and joined the Air Force after graduating from high school. He served in Germany and Pakistan and after leaving the military earned a bachelor of science degree at Arkansas Tech University and then graduated from the concrete technology program at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO. He then returned to work at Mobley Construction Company, a family business specializing in sand and gravel and ready mixed concrete. Before moving to company headquarters in Morrilton, AR, he worked in the Newport plant for two years as a dredge worker, mixer truck driver, tow boat deck hand and pilot.
Mr. Mobley served one term on the NRMCA Board beginning in 2005. He also served on the then Operations, Equipment and Safety Committee and the former Educational Activities Committee. He also was a regular supporter of CONCRETEPAC.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Carol Wolfer-Mobley; one son, J.B. Mobley (Jennifer); one sister, Mary Lynn Roberson (Ronnie) and two grandchildren, Kenley Mobley and Jacey Mobley. A memorial service was held on Friday, September 22.
