NRMCA’s Mruk Honored by American Institute of Architects Rhode Island Chapter

The American Institute of Architects Rhode Island Chapter has awarded the 2023 Morse Stone Fellowship/Medal to NRMCA Senior Director, Building Innovations, Frank Mruk, FAIA. The fellowship, named after the chapter’s first two presidents, Alpheus C. Morse and Alfred E. Stone, celebrates contributions to the profession and invaluable service in the spirit of fellowship. The ceremony took place last week at the AIA Rhode Island 2023 Honor and Design Awards Celebration at the Dye House in Providence. Over 150 people attended the event.

Mruk (seen here at far left receiving the award) is the most recent recipient of the Morse Stone Fellowship which was inaugurated in 2017. Past recipients include Jennifer Space (2017), Eric Zuena (2018), Dan Kwasniewski (2019), Jonathan Taylor (2020), Paul Hauser (2021) and Nicholas Koulbanis (2022). Mruk currently serves as the president of the American Institute of Architect’s Rhode Island Chapter; the chapter is the seventh oldest chapter in the United States.
