LEED v5 Webinar: How Can You Help Make It Better for Concrete?
Print this Article | Send to Colleague
LEED v5 is in public comment period until May 20 and NRMCA and the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) are looking for the concrete industry to provide input. Concrete is well represented in the standard in nearly every category, with new credits for resilience, water conservation, urban heat islands and embodied carbon reduction. However, there are a few credits that could be improved, including optimized materials (responsible sourcing) and energy credits.
NRMCA and CSC are providing comments to the new standard, and we would like the concrete industry to help by also providing comments. Join us for a webinar on Tuesday, May 14, from 11 a.m. to noon Eastern time to learn how you can help.
Panelists include:
- Tiffany Reed-Villarreal - director, sustainability codes and standards, NRMCA
- Matthew Lemay - manager, codes and sustainability programs, NRMCA
- Cynthia Imesch - sustainability manager & coordinator, Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC)
- Christian Artelt - senior manager, sustainable construction, Heidelberg Materials and chair, CSC
