Concrete professionals and enthusiasts from Mississippi and beyond gathered for an engaging and informative Day of Concrete hosted by the Mississippi Concrete Association (MCA). Held on January 30 at MCA’s Pearl office, the event proved to be a valuable resource for all attendees, reports NRMCA Vice President, Building Innovations, Michael Wymant.
The full-day program offered a rich learning experience, covering a broad spectrum of concrete-related topics. Participants gained valuable insights from leading industry experts and earned six professional development hours (AIA approved for six HSW hours). Architects, engineers, contractors and other concrete industry stakeholders benefited from this exceptional opportunity to enhance their knowledge and stay abreast of the latest advancements and best practices.
Wymant shared his expertise on the Build With Strength program, highlighting its many benefits while his colleague Amanda Hult provided valuable instruction on designing durable and efficient concrete parking lots, and the critical aspects of roundabout overlay design and proper jointing techniques for concrete surfaces.
The Day of Concrete was a resounding success, offering attendees a valuable opportunity to learn from top experts, network with fellow professionals and earn professional development hours. The diverse range of topics and convenient location made this event a must-attend for anyone in the concrete industry.
