Learn to Think Like an Owner Course Offered in Upcoming Spring Semester

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

NRMCA’s Think Like an Owner course, offered during the upcoming Spring Semester, is a fitting choice for learners occupying financial management positions within their organizations; those interested in improving their business acumen to grow as an RMC leader and anyone aiming to improve the RMC industry. This course is designed to counsel Producer members regarding various strategies which can increase profits and prevent losses without showing preference for any specific approach.

The Association introduced this course in response to falling industry profits from 2016 to 2018. The curriculum focuses on optimizing profits and returns on funds employed, helping members improve their organizations’ performance while also building a more economically sustainable industry. Learners will also benefit from close analysis and interpretation of NRMCA’s annual Performance Benchmarking Survey to gain a more complete understanding of the present condition of the RMC industry and how to effectively adapt to current industry trends.

Learners can expect an enriching experience led by instructor Bob Capasso, CPA, CMA, who will share his insight and expertise cultivated over 30 years in executive roles with companies such as Adbri, CSR Limited, Rinker Materials and CEMEX. Capasso currently works as an independent financial consultant in the concrete industry as the principal of Concrete Financial Insights.

The Think Like an Owner course will be offered from May 5 - 6 and May 7 - 8 in Fort Lauderdale, FL, as part of the Spring Semester Series. Learners enrolling in more than one course in the semester will receive discounted registration fees. For more information, contact Jeannette Munroe.
