NRMCA Celebrates Women in Design and Construction at New York CSI Event

On March 12, NRMCA Senior Director, Building Innovations and Northeast Region Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Vice President, Frank Mruk supported NYC Women in Design and Construction Month at the Talea (female founded) restaurant in Midtown New York City. The evening celebrated the Beverly Willis (1929-1923) Architectural Foundation which is changing the industry of design and construction through education and research. Speakers included Angela T. Baccon, AIA, SHOP Architects; Ryan Langley, BWAF and Mary Kate Krege, Gensler.

The Beverly Willis Architectural Foundation was incorporated in 2002 with the mission to lead a cultural revolution in the building industry that will acknowledge, cultivate and value women’s contributions and achievements - past, present and future.

The Beverly Leadership Awards 2025 will be held at the SHED, Hudson Yards (midtown Manhattan) on April 3.
