It seems that the British Broadcasting Service (more commonly known by its acronym, the BBC) recently focused on concrete as a topic for its quiz show. One of the concrete nuggets "unearthed" in the column: The oldest ever found is a 12 million-year-old natural deposit found in Israel in the 1960s in which oil shale had combusted naturally near limestone, producing a natural layer of concrete.
