The preliminary estimate of ready mixed concrete produced in December 2012 is 17.3 million cubic yards, 1.3% lower than in December 2011. The estimated ready mixed concrete production in 2012 is 290.3 million cubic yards, 9.1% higher than in 2011. Eleven states had a lower level of production in 2012 compared to 2011.

Ready mixed concrete production is estimated from cement shipments reported by the U.S. Geological Survey. The data reported are preliminary. NRMCA will update this information on its Web site in March for access by member companies.
