Urge Congress to Act Now on Sustainable Water Infrastructure Investment Act
Recently, Representatives Duncan and Pascrell introduced the Sustainable Water Infrastructure Investment Act, H.R. 4237. The legislation will lift the state volume cap on PABs for water and wastewater projects and will unleash up to $5 billion in private capital annually, allowing state governments and municipalities to issue tax-exempt bonds to help rebuild and improve the nation’s vital infrastructure. Industry studies have indicated that every $1 billion invested in water and wastewater infrastructure creates up to 28,000 new jobs with average annual earnings of more than $50,000 and increases demand for products and services in other industries by more than $3 billion. Urge your congressman to co-sponsor this important piece of legislation.
