The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) has appointed Lori Tiefenthaler as 2017 chairperson of the association’s Board of Directors. Ms. Tiefenthaler is widely known throughout the cement, concrete and transportation-construction industry, including involvement with many NRMCA activities and staff. She becomes the first woman to serve in the association’s top volunteer position in its nearly 54-year history.

 

Ms. Tiefenthaler is the senior director of marketing for Lehigh Hanson, Inc. Prior to joining Lehigh Hanson, she served as executive director for the Southeast Cement Association and held management positions with the Iowa Concrete Paving Association and her family’s ready mixed concrete and sand and gravel operations in Iowa. In addition to leading the ACPA’s Board of Directors, Ms. Tiefenthaler also serves on the Board of Directors for the Slag Cement Association as well as on the paving and sustainability committees of NRMCA and the Portland Cement Associaiton. She holds a bachelor of technology degree in construction management from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
