The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center will be holding a Webinar titled Performance Engineered Mixtures for Concrete Pavements in the US on Wednesday, June 27, from 10 to 11 a.m. Central time. The Performance Engineered Mixtures (PEM) program is designed to provide the tools for agencies to specify, and contractors to deliver, concrete mixtures that reliably and sustainably meet the needs for concrete infrastructure. The PEM program is based on the concept of measuring and controlling the concrete mixture around engineering properties that actually relate to performance. The Transportation Webinar Series, which highlights innovative research during a series of free webcasts, will offer 1 PDH. This Webinar will explain how PEM has helped in improving the design and durability of concrete pavements. It will be presented by Peter Taylor, Ph.D. director of the Concrete Pavement Technology Center at Iowa State University and Kevin McMullen, P.E., president of the Wisconsin Pavement Association.
