As performance review season arrives, remember to tap into NRMCA’s STEPS© workforce development program for your mid-level staff. NRMCA’s Board of Directors unanimously put this career path program in motion 14 years ago, with the goal of building industry-wide standards through consistent training. They broke it into three areas: Concrete Technology, Operations & Production and Sales.
STEPS© provides employees with a key device to plan long-term ready mixed concrete careers while it also acts as a retention tool for employers. The program requires prerequisite knowledge, NRMCA core courses and a wide range of electives from local state associations or other professional development programs. When the requirements are met, the person is conferred with an all-encompassing, nationally-recognized certification, CCPf.
