NRMCA Helps Ohio Concrete Association Host Contractor Seminars

NRMCA Senior Vice President, Local Paving, Phil Kresge recently participated in the Ohio Concrete Association’s (OCA) Northwest OCA Winter Contractor Seminar in Lima. Kresge’s presentation, Reacting to a Runaway Concrete Placement discussed the properties of fresh concrete and what contractors should do to manage the placing and finishing of concrete on order to achieve quality results. Kresge also addressed several common concrete surface defects and how contractors can avoid them. The half-day seminar was organized by OCA Northwest Promotion Director Wayne Moening.

The event was the first in a series of winter programs hosted across the state by the OCA. Other topics included Learn New Ways to Make the Cake which discussed the latest trends in concrete mix design; Reinforcement and Joint Layouts – What Makes Sense Today and Contractor’s Legal Obligations.
