NRMCA Senior Vice President, Local Paving, Phil Kresge and Ohio Concrete Association Central/Southeast Promotion Director Lisa Weaver-Moon recently met with representatives from the Columbus office of VanTrust Real Estate, LLC. Together, they discussed the benefits of concrete pavement and the potential impact it can have on VanTrust’s portfolio.
Kresge and Weaver-Moon shared with VanTrust the experiences of other developers who have included concrete pavement in their designs. Kresge explained how concrete pavement can provide a positive first impression to potential clients, which can give VanTrust an advantage over its competitors when it comes to leasing/selling. The VanTrust representatives encouraged Kresge and Weaver-Moon to contact geotechnical engineering firms that provide pavement designs for their projects to further discuss proper concrete pavement design.
Since its inception in 2010, VanTrust Real Estate has developed over 65 million square feet of industrial, office and mixed-use projects. Most recently, the firm was named the 2023 Developer of the Year by the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association.
