The Executive Committee of the NRMCA Board of Directors would like to express its deepest gratitude to Jessica Walgenbach and all NRMCA staff, exhibitors, NRMCA producer and affiliate members, state affiliate executives, CIM student volunteers, the many talented concrete delivery professionals, and their families for contributing to the extraordinary success of 2024’s NRMCA ConcreteWorks in Aurora, CO. We surpassed multiple records in terms of registered attendance, numbers of drivers in the National Mixer Driver Championship, sponsorships, contributions to the CONCRETEPAC, and so much more.
With this fantastic event now behind us, NRMCA leadership will begin the important work of identifying our association’s next president. By unanimous consent, the Executive Committee of the NRMCA Board of Directors has named NRMCA Chief Financial Officer Joe Roche as interim president, effective immediately. As the association leadership conducts the search for its next full-time leader, we know that we can rely with confidence on Joe’s professionalism, deep commitment to the association and his steady leadership style to serve our staff, our members and our state affiliate executives. We appreciate Joe’s willingness to accept and serve in this important transitional role. Please join us in thanking Joe for his continuing service to NRMCA.
Tim Cooper, executive vice president, human resources, has begun vetting executive search firms to interview and will select one firm from those interviewed in partnership with the Search Committee. To conduct this important search with full transparency and efficacy, the Executive Committee has identified, requested and confirmed the participation of the following individuals to serve on the search committee for NRMCA’s president:
The Search Committee will also include non-voting ex-officio members Joe Roche and Tim Cooper to help facilitate the committee’s activities. Central to the Executive Committee’s approach in forming the selection committee was to ensure diverse perspectives, with a focus on a broad range of experiences and geographic representation.
The committee in conjunction with the retained outside recruiting firm will recommend two to three candidates to the sitting Executive Committee which will then select and recommend a candidate to the full Board of Directors for final approval. We look forward to a thoughtful, deliberate and thorough process. Those involved in this important effort will do so efficiently and take the necessary time to ensure they select the best candidate to guide the NRMCA in the years ahead; hence, we are not putting a deadline on when the process will be complete.
Sincerely,
Nathan McKean, chairman NRMCA Board of Directors
