MIT CSHub Shares Key Policy Recommendations for Resilient Construction

The MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub has called on the Trump administration and Congress to update building codes, prioritize durable materials like high-performance concrete and introduce incentives for resilient construction. By improving infrastructure, we can protect communities and significantly reduce long-term recovery costs and insurance burdens. Modernizing construction standards is a proactive solution to the growing frequency and intensity of natural disasters, offering long-term savings for both taxpayers and insurers.
