NRMCA Senior Vice President, Local Paving, Phil Kresge recently presented at a virtual seminar hosted by the Ohio Concrete Association (OCA). The program, Design and Construction of Concrete Roundabouts, was well received with over 150 engineers and municipal officials attending. The event was organized and managed by OCA Northwest Promotion Director Wayne Moening. “There are currently over 8,800 roundabouts in use in the U.S. and it is estimated that another 500 could be added annually for the foreseeable future. It is certainly a target market that deserves attention,” Kresge said. The presentation highlighted the benefits of using concrete pavement when constructing a roundabout. Additionally, roundabout pavement design considerations and jointing recommendations were discussed. For more information, contact Phil Kresge at pkresge@nrmca.org. Learning & Development
The Concrete Sales Professional Certification classes celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2022. Class content was developed, and continually revised, to not only provide sales tools that drive revenue but to set job standards and performance expectations. All four classes will be held in Dallas over a six-month period; Dallas was selected because it is centrally located to much of the U.S. with two large airports near the class location. Please note that each class stands alone so classes do not have to be taken consecutively; nevertheless, it is recommended. • Module 1: Concrete 101 - October 18-21 Click here to view NRMCA's main calendar page which contains links for each of the above classes.
