A majority of luxury pre-owned sales in the U.S. are made online, and investors have poured more than half a billion dollars into the online fashion consignment industry since 2009. Online resale of luxury items is not new — what’s new is the broader reach into the mainstream, led by brands such as thredUP LUXE, which offers a fresh approach to luxury resale.

After noticing that “people weren’t stretching correctly and there was a need to help them,” Kika Stretch Studios owner and founder Hakika DuBose used her knowledge of anatomy to create an assisted therapeutic approach to stretching. Michael Kors Holdings Limited has completed the acquisition of Jimmy Choo PLC. Under the terms of the transaction, Jimmy Choo shareholders received 230 pence per share with a total transaction value of approximately $1.35 billion.
