Pending home sales increased for the second consecutive
month in March and reached their highest level in almost a year, according to
the National Association of REALTORS (NAR).The Pending Home Sales Index,
a forward-looking indicator based on contract signings in March, climbed 1.4
percent to 110.5, 1.4 percent above March 2015. The index increased 3.2 percent
in the Northeast to 97 in March, and is now 18.4 percent above a year ago. To

The National Association of REALTORS’ REALTOR Magazineis seeking nominations for the 2016 Good Neighbor Awards. The program
recognizes REALTORS whose extraordinary commitment to community service has
helped make their communities better places to live. Five winners will receive
a $10,000 grant for their community cause and travel to the 2016 REALTORS
Conference and Expo. Five honorable mentions will receive $2,500 grants. Entries
must be received by Friday, May 13.
