NYSAE announces the winners for the NYSAE 2021 Synergy Awards. The 16 honorees will be awarded during the NYSAE 2021 Synergy Awards Breakfast happening at Current at Pier Sixty on Friday, October 29 at 9:00 – 10:30 am ET.

New York Restoration Project (NYRP) is a non-profit organization driven by the conviction that all New Yorkers deserve beautiful, high-quality public space within ready walking distance of their homes. Since their founding in 1995 by Bette Midler, NYRP has planted trees, renovated gardens, restored parks, and transformed open space for communities throughout New York City’s five boroughs. As New York’s only citywide conservancy, we bring private resources to spaces that lack adequate municipal support, fortifying the City’s aging infrastructure and creating a healthier environment for those who live in the most densely populated and least green neighborhoods. Q. We’re a national professional society of editorial professionals, founded over 50 years ago. We have two issues going on now with our Board election process. First, can you please share some winning strategies on how we can get more members excited to respond to our call for leadership and apply for the open board positions. Then, how can we get more members to vote on the slate. Thank you!

The Marfan Foundation was recently selected again as one of the 2021 Best Nonprofits To Work For. This year, the Foundation ranked #16 among all non-profit organizations, moving up the list from #30 last year. This is the fourth consecutive year the Foundation was recognized in the top 50.

After an extensive search, the Heights and Hills Board of Directors has appointed longtime social service executive Carrie Zwiebel Bloss as executive director. Heights and Hills is one of Brooklyn’s largest non-profits serving older adults, especially homebound seniors, and their families. In her new capacity, Ms. Zwiebel Bloss will oversee all aspects of the organization’s work and report to the board of directors. She succeeds Interim Executive Director Betsy Smulyan, who assumed the role in July 2020 following Judy Willig’s retirement after 33 years of leadership.
