NYRWA News
We wish to thank all of our member systems who provided letters of appreciation for the services they have received from this association. Our staff does amazing work each and every day, but our valued members are the reason for this association! Your letters of support for continued funding of our programs were very well received by our Congressional Representatives and Senators. We extend our sincere thanks to the NY Congressional Delegation for taking the time to meet with our contingent, listen to the needs of rural water and wastewater systems, and for continuing to support our shared goals and initiatives. OUR MESSAGE was very well received, the discussions were positive, and the future looks bright ahead for rural water and wastewater in NY and nationwide. They manufacture gas chlorination, instrumentation, and liquid feed equipment for the water and wastewater industry. In New York, they are represented by Koester Associates. We are pleased to announce our new partnership with TechRadium, Inc., who provide a customer notification system named IRIS. IRIS allows water and wastewater systems, or any entity who works with customers or members, to use various means of notification such as voice, text, or email (or all of the above if necessary) to make notifications in a timely manner. This system is inexpensive, easy to use, incorporates mapping based on customers address, and even provides reports of contacts reached to avoid customer’s denial of receipt of a message. Ryan and Ashly from TechRadium, Inc. are there to answer your questions. See their message below: Need to notify customers of a boil water advisory? Need to send late payment reminders? Next time, use IRIS instead of door hangers and mailings. By doing so, you will save money on postage, time and manpower – enabling you to focus on more important issues. UseIRIS.com does the heavy lifting for you and is used by hundreds of utilities already. Save time and money using a proven system that millions of users rely on daily for messaging. Any sort of message you want to get out, IRIS can send it! IRIS has been utilized and trusted for almost 20 years to send routine and emergency notifications via phone calls, emails and SMS text messages. Next time you need to get the message out, USE IRIS. Visit http://www.useiris.com for more information. If you or your system are interested in learning more, please visit their website http://www.useiris.com or contact Cheryl Kearns at our office, we will be glad to assist your needs.
