NYRWA News
Have you received water and/or wastewater technical assistance from NYRWA? Have you attended NYRWA in-person or web-based training? Has your system benefited from a Source Water Protection Plan or Energy Efficiency Assessment from NYRWA? If so, WE NEED YOUR HELP! NYRWA is respectfully asking our system members to draft and submit letters of support for the services you have received. These letters are crucial so we can deliver your message to our elected representatives that more needs to be done to fund water and wastewater infrastructure. Please, we need as many members as possible to draft the support letters on your letterhead and mail to our office at: NYRWA, Inc. Let’s make this letter writing campaign a huge success, please participate. We thank you in advance for your consideration. NYRWA wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to all our Associate Members and Exhibitors who made our 43rd Annual Technical Workshop & Exhibition such a huge success! This event would not be possible without each and every one of you. Your continued support of this association is appreciated, and we look forward to many more years of continued success! We also wish to thank the golf hole sponsors…we were blessed with a huge turnout for the Pat Scalera Scholarship Fund Golf Outing, and we hope that trend continues in the future. We would like to thank each of you who took the time to share your experience and expertise by providing the training sessions. The training sessions were well attended, and based on our members evaluations, was very well received. Thank you one and all. To our system members and all attendees, thank you for once again supporting this association, your association, by attending the conference. We had a record turnout this year and it showed in the classrooms and exhibit hall. We hope you enjoyed your time with us as much as we enjoyed seeing each of you in person once again. The conference was a success, but there is always room for improvement. We wish to thank those who took the time to either meet with us in person or who filled out their evaluation forms. We will be looking to make positive changes in the future based on your recommendations. Last, let me just say thank you again! We look forward to seeing you all next year in Lake Placid, May 22-24, 2023! If you are interested in being a presenter, please complete the Call For Presentation request form and return by August 15, 2022 to be considered for next year's conference. Sponsorship Opportunities are available, review the letter, if interested please complete the sponsorship form with your selection and email to George Roath.
Thanks to the support of the NYS Department of Health, Bureau of Water Supply Protection, NYRWA will be hosting a minimum of two training sessions per region of the state in 2022 & 2023. These training sessions will be coupled with another topic in order to provide 6 contact hours per session. The NYS DOH will have representatives available to provide the training and to answer your questions. Please do not wait, the lead service line inventory (LSLI) is a major undertaking for water systems…get the facts straight from our regulatory agency professionals to ensure you remain in compliance. We look forward to seeing you all at one of the sessions. Upcoming Training
