Register HERE today! Join your ODA colleagues and ASDA students virtually for an evening of advocacy! We are excited to share details for this year's virtual dental day. Held Thursday February 4, from 6:00-8:00 pm, this year's evening event will allow you to participate from anywhere in the state without missing time with your patients. 
As an active member, you know first-hand the value your membership has provided you in 2020 during the COVID-19 crisis. Member-Get-A-Member is the ideal opportunity to share your success by encouraging your nonmember colleagues to join. You will be rewarded with a $100 Visa gift card for each new, active member you recruit (up to five members or $500 in gift cards!). Please see Campaign Rules for full details. Just tell the dentists you recruit to include your name on their applications. Then visit the recruiter's form to tell us who you recruited by entering your name and ADA number, and the name of the potential member. We’re stronger together! We’re living through a time of uncertainty, and it’s normal to feel stressed and anxious. We have many challenges that lie ahead, and if you feel the need to reach out to someone, we are here and you are not alone. The ODA's Wellness Program offers a robust network of compassionate Wellness Ambassadors, armed with resources to help support colleagues. Still need your COVID vaccine? We have launched a new page tracking opportunities for you and your teams to access COVID vaccines across the state. ODA continues to explore partnerships with local hospitals and counties for additional vaccine opportunities. The page will continue to be updated as we learn about additional opportunities. Are you interested in serving your state, drafting and interpreting rules by which practitioners are held accountable, and making positive change for your peers? Serving on the Board of Dentistry, while time consuming, is an incredible opportunity to directly affect how dentistry is practiced in Oregon. There will be an open dentist seat on the Oregon Board of Dentistry with a 4-year term beginning April of 2021. Statute affords the Oregon Dental Association the opportunity to submit recommendations to the Governor for her consideration. ODA's Leadership Development Committee (LDC) will conduct interviews of interested candidates in order to form that recommendation. The current position is held by a specialist. To ensure subject matter expertise on the Board, LDC preference will be given to specialists and/or candidates who hold a sedation permit. Please contact ODA Government Affairs Director, Jen Lewis-Goff no later than Monday, January 25, 2021, for more information and to express your interest. LDC interviews will be held virtually the same week. Are you certified to administer vaccines? ODA is compiling a list to share with OAHHS for volunteer clinic opportunities. All dentists who hold an active DEA license must register with the Oregon Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). If you have not already registered, please access the registration portal here.
