We’re living through a time of uncertainty, and it’s normal to feel stressed and anxious. We have many challenges that lie ahead, and if you feel the need to reach out to someone, we are here and you are not alone. ODA's Wellness Program offers a robust network of compassionate Wellness Ambassadors, armed with resources to help support ​colleagues. The Wellness Program is open to all members, non-members, and dental students. If you need help or know of someone that needs help, please request support. Find ODA website wellness resources here.

Since 2003, the ADA Institute for Diversity in Leadership has admitted more than 260 dentists from diverse racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds who have been traditionally under-represented in leadership roles. The award-winning program is designed to strengthen leadership skills and build professional networks. As part of the program, with all expenses paid, participants attend three sessions at ADA Headquarters in Chicago, learning from faculty from Duke University and participate in 10 virtual sessions throughout the year. In addition, participants are required to develop and complete a new leadership project addressing a need in their community or dental association.

ADA is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 class. Visit ADA.org to apply by April 30. All expenses are covered for this program, in part through support from Crest + Oral-B and Henry Schein, Inc.

Nominations are now being accepted for the Norton M. Ross Award for Excellence in Clinical Research, which recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions in clinical investigations that have advanced the diagnosis, treatment, and/or prevention of craniofacial-oral-dental diseases. The winner will receive $5,000 and a commemorative plaque as well as airfare and lodging to attend an in-person ceremony in Chicago later this year. Nominate someone by May 9 at ADA.org/Ross. The Norton Ross Award is sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc.
