Welcome to our newest members! Please reach out to these new members and welcome them into the ODA community.
This summer, ADA will introduce a new login process to make it easier to access your account online. You will no longer use your ADA member number for login. Instead, your email address and password will grant you access to your ADA account across a variety of web properties, including ADA.org, the ADA Member App and JADA. Starting July 8, you will need to reset your password to access ADA properties. Learn more at ADA.org/LoginFAQ. You're invited to ODA's Regional Event: CE on the Ranch! Taking place November 1-2, 2024, in beautiful Central Oregon. Join us at Brasada Ranch in Powell Butte, OR, for 5 hours of continuing education, social events, and relationship building with sponsors and exhibitors. Events include a Friday Night Trivia welcome kick-off and a Saturday night Boots & Bling party featuring country western music & line dancing. The call for applicants is open for one Dental Director on the Moda board for a term of 4 years. With a broad array of companies under its corporate umbrella, Moda is committed to attracting candidates to serve on the Organization’s Boards of Directors who represent excellence in both the practice of dentistry and in its diverse business ventures. Members have the opportunity to win a 7-day Hawaiian cruise, among other prizes, for recruiting new members from January 1-August 31, 2024.* For each new member recruited, the recruiter is entered into a quarterly drawing for a chance to win a prize from the ADA Store or ADABEI-endorsed providers valued at up to $1,000. For every five new members recruited, the recruiter receives a chance to win a 7-day interisland Hawaiian cruise for two. Recruiting 25 members automatically guarantees a quarterly prize. Any degreed dentists, apart from retirees, who were not ADA members in 2023 are eligible to be recruited. We’re living through a time of uncertainty, and it’s normal to feel stressed and anxious. We have many challenges that lie ahead, and if you feel the need to reach out to someone, we are here, and you are not alone. The ODA's Wellness Program offers a robust network of compassionate Wellness Ambassadors, armed with resources to help support colleagues. The wellness program is open to all members, non-members, and dental students. If you need help or know of someone that needs help, please request support. Find ODA website wellness resources here. The Well-Being Index is a quick self-assessment tool designed for health professionals like you to gauge your overall physical and mental health. It only takes about a minute to complete and can be done monthly or quarterly. By regularly assessing your well-being, you can identify areas where you're thriving and areas that may need more attention.

Compliance Corner
A new rule added optional additional functions for Dental Therapists including intravenous access, phlebotomy and blood draw with successful completion of a Board approved course effective May 1, 2024. There were also ten other rules amended including dental implant training requirements, nitrous oxide permitting, minimal sedation, and additional functions for dental hygienists and dental assistants.
