We anticipate that it is an extensive proposal that will require the government to consult on major action plans and gauge political implications. Some findings are likely to be controversial and may include significant proposals such as Prompt Payment and dispute resolution requirements.
In anticipation of the release, Prompt Payment Ontario has been lobbying MPPs to set expectations that Prompt Payment requirements are the focus of the reforms.
OGCA has also been working with members discussing the issues and encourage them to not embrace simple solutions to a complex issue.
