Section 7: Associate Partner Program

To be eligible for Associate Partner, a firm, individual or association must provide services to the General Contracting industry and be in compliance with the OGCA governing policies. The following industry stakeholder categories would be eligible for membership:

·Major material suppliers
·Equipment rental companies
·Legal firms
·Bonding Companies
·Insurance
·Other professional firms (i.e. accounting, environmental, cost consultants, project management, consultants)
·Colleges and other educational organizations

As was contained in the information packages sent to all members, the Motion was to approve the process for developing the OGCA Associate Partners Program (APP). The vote was overwhelmingly in favour of this motion and passed with only two opposed.

This now allows us to move forward in developing the regulations/policies that will govern this program.

We plan to launch it in the New Year. Partners attending the AGM were enthusiastic about the opportunity to work more closely with and provide support to the OGCA.

A joint Task Force will be set up with our partners to finalize details for the launch of the program. We are all very excited about the new opportunities this will create for the OGCA and the added strength and benefits it will provide to the organization’s members.
