On February 8, 2017, Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management of George Brown College, Casa Loma Campus, held its first League of Champions Safety Event.
With over 450 students in attendance, leaders, along with Rob Ellis, came together to raise awareness and transfer knowledge about workplace safety. With many George Brown students soon entering into the workforce, this presentation allowed students to recognize what great companies look and sound like, when they have safe work environments at the center of their business. Students were given the platform to ask questions of the leaders, which helps inspires and promote building a safety culture. Students did take the pledge by signing GB’s Jersey of Courage.
The League of Champions is proud to have George Brown College as one of the very FIRST College Patron Members, and for demonstrating to their students that safety does matter. The College will be presented with their charter and jersey at Leadership Day, which will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017.
