Safety MUST be a priority when dealing with such a complex project and so, Mr. Rob Ellis, President of MySafeWork was there to lead those safety talks. Rob has dedicated his entire life to helping companies improve their workplace safety culture. In doing that, he shares his tragic story of loss; the loss of his 18-year-old son to a workplace accident. His mission is to ensure that his story does not become anyone else’s story. Rob challenged everyone in the room to re-think how they feel, talk and respond to unsafe situations, providing leadership principals required to achieve safety excellence.
Clive Thurston, President of OGCA was there to speak to the workers, saying, "We believe that every employee has the right to a healthy and safe work environment." Together, the League of Champions and MySafeWork welcomed Crosslinx Transit Solution as the newest Patron into the League of Champions, the first transit company to join the League.
The League welcomes its newest members and encourages them to continuing driving the message of safety, to ensure that all workers return home at the end of each day. We wish them success in their completion of The Eglinton Crosstown LRT project that will change the way people commute in the City of Toronto.
