As March 8 was International Women's Day, the timing for this is perfect.
East Northumberland Secondary School is working hard to break down barriers for young women entering the trades.
They are hoping to connect with women who are currently working in a variety of trade careers. Kimberly Leger is the Cooperative Education Lead Teacher, and she would like to reach out to them to inquire if they might be interested in helping promote the trades.
Authenticity is essential – hence she is looking for the pioneers who have already blazed this trail and broke down the gender barriers!
If you would like to reach out to Kimberly, she can be reached at kim_leger@kprdsb.ca
