Ian Somerville - 1943 - 2021

It is with a broken heart that we have to announce the death of our dear friend Ian Somerville. Ian passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, his wife Linda and his daughters Jennifer and Christine by his side.

We all know what a huge presence Ian was in all of our lives. He was passionate about his work and left a lasting impression on the people that had the pleasure of knowing him. He would want us to remember him fondly for the hard hat throwing, insult hurling, heart of gold man that he was. He impacted so many of us both personally and professionally, and he’ll be truly missed.

Eva’s Initiative for Homeless Youth is an organization that Ian was involved with for many years and it was very special to him. Eva’s serves hundreds of young people and their families every year, offering a unique combination of safe shelter and housing, street outreach, counselling, training and life skills programs.
