Are you Ready for a Fourth Wave?

Ontario now has 81% of eligible citizens with a first vaccination, and 71% fully vaccinated – an achievement that is among the best of any jurisdiction. However, we are going to need to protect many more. We have heard about the outbreaks in Florida and other international centres, but this wave has arrived in Canada. The BC interior is dealing with the Delta variant and has rolled back many of the services that were open. This has occurred with a vaccine rate similar to Ontario’s.
We have important tools we didn’t have for the wave in March and April. Our vaccine rate is strong and everyone who would like a vaccine has access to it. We know a fully vaccinated workforce is very well protected. Unfortunately, unvaccinated workers are a risk for their workplaces and workers. The Delta variant is affecting them at an alarming rate.
OGCA believes it is vital that every member adopt and communicate a vaccine policy. Most unvaccinated are open to comply; they either need to be encouraged or given access like the mobile GO buses provided.
Employees support each other by being fully vaccinated.
