National Construction Day Virtual Celebration

CCA would like to invite you to participate in an online celebration of our industry on November 3, 2020.

National Construction Day recognizes and celebrates the dedicated, hard-working people instrumental in building and connecting our communities through construction. The objective for 2020 is to host a virtual dialogue with industry stakeholders and continue our efforts to shift the perception of the construction industry. Construction Day will demonstrate the industry’s strong health and safety culture, highlight why the industry is an essential service, and promote its impact on our quality of life. 

How will we do that?

CCA will:

• Feature the charitable, community-focused initiatives undertaken by our members;
• Feature our partner associations’ and members’ social media posts;
• Continue to promote CCA’s Talent Fits Here campaign;
• Promote CCA & industry COVID-19 health and safety protocols and resources;
• Share industry facts and figures; 
• Host a webinar on safety in construction on November 3;
• Celebrate our award winners; and more!

What will that look like?

October 27^th – CCA will send COOs and corporate members samples of social media posts to use on their own channels.
November 2^nd – CCA will issue its monthly newsletter, which will be Construction Day themed – a celebration of the industry – Talent Fits Here, national award recipients, partner associations, members, safety, construction industry facts, etc. 
November 3^rd – CCA’s social media accounts will light up. We will be reminding everyone of the amazing things that the industry and our association has accomplished this year. Join us on YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn. Check out the hashtag #Construction4CDNs to be part of the conversation!

So what can you do?

• Post on social media. Feel free to use the posts provided by CCA, re-post items from CCA channel or the hashtag #Construction4CDNs or create your own. You can use pictures of your members/your firm demonstrating their commitment to safety, your own award winners, your industry success stories, etc.
• Remind the public of the COVID-19 safety protocols that are available through CCA, and through our partner association and members websites.
• Take advantage of the Hill Day masks that were sent to you – share pictures of you in the finest of CCA apparel.
• Join us for a special safety webinar on November 3 at 2 p.m. EDT. More details are coming.
