Last week, the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) hosted "Building a BIM Team: How to Harness the Power of Collaborative Technology.”
The webinar, sponsored by Procore Technologies, is the first from the OGCA oriented toward construction design and collaboration. It began by laying a foundation and explaining core concepts, then made a case for BIM by outlining the benefits of collaboration in the construction industry, and finally presented the critical attributes of construction stakeholders when implementing BIM across a project.
Panelists included Tyler Holditch, Director of Technology at Matheson Constructors; Yuri Bartzis, Innovation Manager – Canadian Building Operations at Pomerleau; and Dave McCool, Group Product Manager at Procore. The webinar was hosted by Erich Schmidt, Innovation and Public Affairs Manager at the OGCA.
In addition to our recently published "OGCA Guide to Construction Design and Technology," the webinar is an important part of the new innovation-focused programming offered by the OGCA. The OGCA continues to provide materials to its members and other stakeholders with the information needed to make the right decisions about innovation at their organization.
