As the end of the 2022 approaches, most people become reflective and are pondering both the end of this year as well as the new beginnings that 2023 will bring.
The OGCA is no different, and we are always reviewing our strategic plan in relation to our noted goals and outcomes. Additionally, we are recognizing the accomplishments we have had over this year as we continue to plan on how to best achieve more successes for our members in 2023.
Industry News

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has released a breifing note to assist members in better understanding the upcoming Procurement.
One of the key points in the briefing note, references specific questions relating to details on the VOR and its address through the procurement process itself. The desire is to ensure that any and all participants have access to that same information in the spirit of an open, fair and transparent competitive process.

OGCA Tech Check
Construction is complicated, yet it is often generalized as lagging behind other industries when it comes to the adoption of new technologies and processes. We want to know how, and most importantly why, you don’t use technology.
Safety
The OGCA Safety Advisory Committee was created by our members for our members, and welcome you to join us. The Committee meets monthly with updates from both the CPO and the MLITSD as well as timely industry updates. Each OGCA member company is welcome to provide one delegate for these meetings. If you are interested in participating, please email judith@ogca.ca with a name and email.
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) report has been provided to the OGCA ending as of October 31, 2022.
