Set to take place March 12-15, 2024 at the stunning resort destination of the Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Resort Spa in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the Canadian Construction Association's (CCA) Annual Conference is an opportunity to gather with industry professionals, thought leaders, and innovators for an immersive and engaging conference experience.
Each day, contractors, supervisors and workers dedicate their skills and expertise to getting the job done safely. Operating various equipment, ladders and other machinery or tools can be dangerous when performed near overhead or underground powerlines. In the past year, contact with overhead wires has increased three times. Hydro One has created a Resource page and Power Safety Toolkit to continue prioritizing safety and understanding the proper procedures that protect workers and the public from the serious dangers that come with working near powerlines.
This year the annual PCA Curling Bonspiel will be held at London’s Highland Community Curling Club on April 5 and 6. As defending champions, London Rocks are looking for seven teams (minimum) and eleven teams (maximum) to come on down and give it their all. The London and District Construction Association (LDCA) are adding a one time best foursome name this year and will donate $100 for each team member to the London Food Bank. The LDCA has arranged for rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in downtown London for $169 per night. Interest rate impact: Elevated interest rates are diminishing investments, causing a decrease in spending. This trend is impacting both the overall economy and the construction sector, which is particularly sensitive to interest rate fluctuations.
