OGCA staff, instead of exchanging gifts, brought in several unwrapped toys and presented them to Tom Brown of CTV’s Toy Mountain drive. Mary Wademan of OGCA dropped the gifts off to Tom Brown at Chinguacousy Park on Friday, December 16. OGCA offices will be closed from noon on Friday, December 23, and will re-open on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. OGCA staff has also made a donation to the London & MIddlesex United Way. We hope you and your staff and your families enjoy the holidays, and stay safe! |

Toronto, ON (December 8, 2016) – On November 24, 2016 PCL Constructors Canada Inc. (Toronto) held an appreciation barbeque to thank workers for their commitment to safety and their efforts on the Milton District Hospital project. With over 600 workers laboring over a 330,000 square foot floor plate, the project recently reached an impressive safety milestone with an excess of 700,000 hours worked without a lost time injury. "Thank you to everyone who joined us to recognize the efforts of our valued trade partners," said PCL Constructors Canada Inc. (Toronto) district manager Kelly Wallace. "By working as partners, and not just individual companies, we fully believe that together we will achieve our industry’s vision of ensuring that everyone returns home safely, every day." The Milton District Hospital expansion is being built to meet the increasing care needs of Canada’s fastest growing community, accommodating new technologies that are changing the way hospital care is delivered. The expansion will provide Milton residents with improved access to the hospital services they need, close to home. The building’s diagnostic treatment and inpatient unit blocks both topped off earlier this year and the structure is watertight. With main power to the building achieved two months ago and commissioning well under way, the project is steadily moving towards a substantial completion date of April 28, 2017. Halton Healthcare anticipates to officially open the expansion for patient care in Fall 2017.
