Safety Leaders know how important building a safety culture is when it comes to working on massive construction projects. Which is why on Tuesday, October 31, Crosslinx Transit Solution invited 750 of their employees to celebrate their safety efforts.

The Eglinton Crosstown LRT is the largest construction project in all of Canada and quite possibly in all of North America. With over 19 kilometres of new light rail – 10 underground – that starts in the west end and travels right through the city to the east end, with 25 new stations and stops linking to 54 bus routes, three subway stations and various GO transit lines.

Safety plays an important role in everything we do; whether it is encouraged by employers, by parents, or by teachers, safety is a constant conversation that saves lives.

Louise Anchor Secondary School in Brampton invited the League of Champions to set up a booth at their career fair held on November 2, 2017.

The intent was to bring education and awareness surrounding the construction industry, encouraging students, parents and teachers that safety on the job and proper on the job training is paramount for students entering the workforce. The League of Champions was there to promote careers in construction and show that safety is at the forefront. There are so many great opportunities choosing a career in construction.

The League of Champions took its jersey of courage, which generated a lot of excitement among students and parents. The Patron's Jersey of Companies was also on display promoting those companies who believe in safety and who want students to come and work for them.

Safety
The "Safety Pass" offers you safer workers while reducing your training time and costs. The program is fully transferable. Once the worker is accredited they don’t require retraining as they move job to job, you just provide site orientation.

The Safety Pass is a generic Health and Safety Orientation Awareness program that is delivered and tracked online. It improves workplace safety, remove the amount of duplication that workers experience in taking orientation site to site, while improving productivity for the general and sub-contractors so that workers focus on the project site specific that is required to get the job done safely.

Over the last few years we have seen how quickly the arrival of Uber has changed the way we get around our communities. The rise of automated vehicles (AVs) and the prevalence of smartphone apps for "mobility on demand" will eat into taxi and public bus services in the early 2020s and then begin to disrupt car ownership in the late 2020s. These are among the many findings in RCCAO’s independently commissioned report: "Ontario Must Prepare for Vehicle Automation: How Skilled Governance Can Influence its Outcome."

You’re going to regret this. I’m going to get you for what you’ve done to me? You’re a dead man!
