Look, I know that the last almost two years have felt surreal and like we have been characters in that movie featuring Bill Murray called “Groundhog Day,” but we all need to keep our focus on moving forward and getting our entire society at a vaccination rate that finally tips the scales of COVID-19. I’m not here to preach to anyone about why it is important to get vaccinated, and I would assume that by now, the scientific evidence that has been presented far outweighed the individual conspiracy theories and rhetoric. And I, for one, would rather base my decision to protect myself, my friends and my family, on the professional recommendations of an epidemiologist rather than the rantings of some basement dwelling podcaster, but I have always preferred evidence to hearsay.

The COVID-19 pandemic has swept the world and changed each of our lives in different ways. As we continue to move forward, we must continue to work diligently in our efforts to promote health and safety in the workplace. Getting your vaccine is crucial and a valuable part of keeping you and your loved ones safe.  The OGCA presents its final edition of #WhyIGotTheShot to share our member's stories and to focus on the “good” during this pandemic. We hope that you were able to find some comfort, reassurance, or positivity from this campaign.

OGCA members are always trying to make a difference in their communities; be that local, cultural or global. Our members continually strive to affect positive change and work towards the betterment of all. EllisDon, in conjunction with Raising the Roof are looking for other organizations to support the 2021/2022 “Shaping the Future Program.”
